TRE-FOR Bredbånd (Profiber)

Based on Tilgin's solution, TRE-FOR will enhance its consumer offering with Triple Play services to fiber-connected households within the Profiber network (TRE-FOR, Østjysk Energi, Energi Horsens & NRGi) in Denmark. TRE-FORs roll-out with Tilgin will impact the other three operators in the Profiber network as well, whose motto is "Fiber to all". This means that all enterprises and institutions and approx. 400,000 people living in the supply area are will be offered a fiber solution. TRE-FOR will use Tilgin's Full Service Routing for Triple Play, based on Tilgin's Home Gateway HG1300 and the HGA 570 and VCM 5 software.
“We chose Tilgin based on its solution's performance and its future-proof portfolio of integrated software solutions and home gateways. This deal is strategic for TRE-FOR Bredbånd and with this, the entire Profiber network is shifting architecture. I'm proud to say that TRE-FOR now fully meet the coming demands from our end-users. We will now be able to offer them 2-3 HD TV streams simultaneously with high speed broadband”. Flemming Breum, CTO at TRE-FOR Bredbånd

Profiber In November 2004, TRE-FOR's Board decided that all TRE-FOR customers must be offered fiber networks. In August and December 2005, the Energi Horsens and Østjysk Energis decided that they would also offer fiber connection to customers in its catchment area. Profiber is the name of this new fiber network. "Fiber to all" is the title of the project, meaning that the fiber network is not only reserved for big cities, but to all consumers. This means that all enterprises and institutions and approx. 400,000 people living in the supply area are offered a fiber solution. This new fiber network offers the area a very strong position in tomorrow's digital Denmark. Profiber will be established in stages of approx. 750 households, and in parallel we establish relations in all municipalities in the area. The exact ranking is determined by market demand, and after negotiations with the antenna, housing associations, municipalities and other stakeholders around the infrastructure in the catchment area.
